Excellent use of After Effects and rendering in this music video for “Love Hits The Fan” by Phonat, directed and produced by Rocco Pezzella , Andrea Staiano, Francesco Castellani for the “Savants Collective”
Oh to be this good at After Effects…
Insane skills, and great video editing.
Branding work for self initiated “Artist Movie Posters” project, a community for designers and artists to upload, rate, and discuss their own self-created versions of movie posters.
Sign up and submit your own movie posters to have your work featured on the site (and I will also post any submitted work up here on this blog for the 500+ followers to see). Eventually, and if enough people contribute, I will be looking into allowing printing and sale of submitted posters (like DeviantArt with prints, or Threadless with tees).
‘Type Heroes’ film poster series (more here) as part of my ‘make something cool every day’ project.

I watched Jackie Chan’s “Mr Nice Guy” the other week with a friend, and after seeing this scene I had an idea for a little series of blog posts. So here’s the first one with some amazing Pepsi product placement. The screenshots don’t really do it justice, but you haven’t witnessed true cinematic mastery until you’ve seen a Pepsi van skid, tip, and spill hundreds of spewing, classic 90’s design Pepsi cans towards the camera. In slow motion, naturally.
District 9 is an upcoming sci-fi film focusing on “an extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth [who] suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology”. These adverts are pretty understated, and are designed to intrigue and draw curious members of the public onto the website www.d-9.com, where more information about the film can be found. The ‘public service announcement’ tone and visual style was pulled off really well with this campaign. Love the simple style and icon use in these.
